I find myself drawn to the mat when I am feeling vulnerable. The comfort I seek can only be found in my own mind and felt with my body. The emotions that must sink in and be felt while I stretch and play.
I start gently. Wiggling my toes. Sweeping my hands above me, palms on the ground. Right leg back planting my feet down, left leg back to meet her. Up into mountain pose (downward facing dog). Here I pause to feel where there is tension. Here I play with shifting the weight of my body between my hands and feet. Here is where I focus on my breathing. Inhale - one - two - three. Exhale - one - two - three.
